Practice Timer and Stopwatch for Musicians
Practice in focused blocks. Set a countdown for each exercise, or run a stopwatch to see how long you've been at it.
How to use it
- Choose Timer or Stopwatch.
- For a countdown, pick a length and press start.
- Give the block a label, like "Alternate picking", so you know what you're working on.
- A chime plays when the time is up. Turn it off in settings.
Questions
- How long should a practice block be?
- Many players use 10 to 20 minute blocks per exercise, with a short break between them.
- Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?
- Yes. It keeps counting while the page is open.
Better on a bench
A bench keeps the timer next to your metronome and notes, so one screen runs the whole practice session.
